I’m Michelle Birks, General Manager and Registered Nurse at Brighton Plastic Surgery. With more than 35 years of experience in nursing and three decades in health leadership, I bring a strong foundation in patient care, clinical governance, and operational excellence to the practice.

My background spans across health administration, day surgery, plastic surgery, and sterilisation services — all critical areas in ensuring a safe, smooth, and supportive experience for our patients. I hold a Graduate Diploma in Health Administration and a Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services, in addition to my nursing qualifications.

What I value most in my role is the opportunity to make a difference in moments that matter. I’m passionate about supporting patients when they may feel vulnerable and ensuring they feel safe, understood, and well cared for throughout their journey.

Outside of work, I’ve had the privilege of contributing voluntarily to various health-focused organisations, always driven by a belief in improving systems, support, and patient outcomes at every level.
