Covid Update for Our Patients
You may be aware the Victorian State Government has further restricted elective surgery in Victoria until further notice due the current Omicron wave. As a result, all non-urgent elective surgeries and procedures in both public and private hospitals have been postponed, in addition, a Code Brown has been declared across healthcare in Victoria.
Only emergency and urgent surgery (classed as Category 1 surgery) is permitted. If you or a family member has upcoming surgery booked, we will be contacting you shortly.
The impact of these ongoing surgery disruptions also means that these rooms may close early on some days and not open every day of the week until surgery levels return to normal.
We appreciate this ongoing disruption to surgery is difficult for everyone and we ask that you are respectful in your conversations with our staff who are trying their best to assist you and we look forward to seeing you again as soon as we are able to do so.
