I’m Associate Professor Ramin Shayan, and I’ve been part of the Brighton Plastic Surgery team since 2014. My work spans the full range of plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery for both men and women. I combine advanced surgical techniques with a strong research background to ensure my patients receive safe, thoughtful, and evidence-based care.

Alongside my clinical work, I lead the O’Brien Institute at St Vincent’s Institute, where our research focuses on lymphatic biology, regenerative medicine, and cancer survivorship. My academic path began at the University of Melbourne, where I completed my medical degree and later a PhD exploring lymphoedema and cancer metastasis.

I’m committed to helping patients feel confident and supported, whether they’re undergoing reconstructive surgery, addressing medical conditions such as lymphoedema, or considering cosmetic procedures.
