Laser Skin Resurfacing
About Laser Resurfacing
Facial wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and certain types of scars can be improved by a variety of laser resurfacing techniques.
Ageing, sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle factors contribute to facial wrinkling, but fine lines and wrinkles may be improved by laser skin resurfacing.
Patients may have laser resurfacing at almost any age, and certain characteristics can make you a better candidate for one technique over another. Laser skin resurfacing treatments can be performed to varying depths.
A superficial treatment requires less healing time, but may require the procedure to be repeated in order to achieve the same results as a deeper treatment. Mr Mutimer AM will discuss technique options with you at your personal consultation.
Common Causes of Fine Lines, Wrinkles, and Pigmentation
There are many causes, and your own genetics, diet, and lifestyle also plays its role. These are some of the most common causes of fine lines and wrinkles on the face.
Your Consultation
Laser Resurfacing patients first meet Mr Mutimer where you will discuss the procedure in detail, technique to be used and recovery time. Photos will be taken. You will receive information about the surgery itself, the surgeon who will perform the surgery and costs.
Once you have had time to review all the information from the first consultation and you want to progress with your surgical journey you will meet Mr Mutimer again for a further consultation.
You will also meet with the Patient Advisor and Practice Nurse to discuss surgical documentation and pre and post-operative care instructions.
7 days after this consultation your surgery dates can be booked and payments made.
Laser Resurfacing Cost
Please note that surgical laser treatment costs provided are indicative only – intended to give patients a realistic estimate of associated costs. Actual surgical laser treatment cost may vary depending on individual patient circumstances.
Prospective patients often wish to see photos of people who have previously had this surgery. We don’t share these images on the website as we respect our patients privacy, however they are available during a consultation.
Cosmetic Surgery is real surgery and requires a general anaesthetic, both carry risks. All surgery has a post operative recovery time. We will discuss this in detail at your consultation. Your recovery time may be impacted by a range of factors, including your type of work, personal responsibilities, support available, and your health history, as well as the surgery itself. All surgery carries risks, complications are not common but they can occur and these will be discussed at your consultations.
