Your Plastic Surgeons
Brighton Plastic Surgery
Brighton Plastic Surgery was established in Melbourne more than 25 years ago by specialist plastic surgeon Mr Keith Mutimer AM.
Mr Mutimer AM and his team of specialist plastic surgeons believe that an informed and educated patient is best prepared for plastic surgery.
As such, we place a strong emphasis on patient education, taking the time to answer all of your questions and provide realistic and honest guidance every step of the way.
Our goals are to provide you with the utmost in patient care, and to facilitate great understanding of your procedure as well as its recovery process.

How Do I Find a Good Plastic Surgeon?
There are several steps we encourage prospective patients to take when it comes to choosing a plastic surgeon in Melbourne.
There are five letters you need to look out for: FRACS. FRACS stands for Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. This distinction is only awarded to plastic surgeons who complete a minimum of 12 years medical and surgical education, as well as at least five years of specialist training.
Brighton Plastic Surgery’s surgeons are all Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
In return, we promise to be honest, transparent, and realistic, too. Plastic surgeons can never guarantee results, but what they can do is offer complete transparency and respect when it comes to discussing your goals as well as the specific procedure.
You should feel that you can trust your surgeon and can have an open dialogue with them.
Your recovery is just as important as the procedure itself. Your plastic surgeon should ensure you understand all the steps required following surgery, including advice and guidance around sleeping, bathing, when activities or exercise can resume, post-operative appointments, and more.
While you must take responsibility for your own health and recovery, your surgeon also plays a part by providing complete support following surgery to allow your body to rest and to minimise any risks.
Our Team
Our surgeons are supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced nursing and administrative staff to make certain that you receive the highest quality personalised care.
It’s our priority to ensure that your surgery is performed to the highest standards, and your recovery helps you achieve the best outcome possible.
